Science Stations was the name of the game this week at Science Explorers. We made raisins dance, experimented with polymers and hypothesized on what would happen to a Gummy Bear when submerged in water vs. salt water. Fun was had by all!

Art in a Book: Eric Carle
We discussed author and illustrator Eric Carle today. What an amazingly talented and creative man. Miss Susan found a book by Klutz called You Can Make a Collage by Eric Carle … It is a complete how-to book on how to create your own piece of collage art. The book is filled with 72 pages of reproduction papers for you to use. It is amazing. We had a great time! I even made one …

Burnham Bunch Bird Feeders

Secret Message Valentine! Found this great idea on Pinterest from Crafts by Amanda
Dangerous Club for Boys (this time girls, too!) Marshmallow Launchers
Our favorite Dangerous Boy leader, Chris Fisher, couldn’t make it in today! So, Miss Susan and Miss Jean, (*gasp* girls!) had to take-over. I think we did a pretty good job! We all had a blast (especially, ME!) Just a few supplies and we launched marshmallows all over the library … All you need are some cups — small/large, plastic/plastic, a few toilet paper tubes, some balloons, scissors and marshmallows (of course). Good times!
