This is our last week before our mid-year break. I will certainly miss the kiddos. But, we need a bit of time to start planning for … wait for it … summer reading! Yikes! Today we read two very short, but not short of cuteness, books: Five Busy Elves by Patricia Hegarty and Llama Llama Jingle Bells by Anna Dewdney. I recited a little rhyme as the kiddos added colorful noses to our Rudolph. And finally, we made our own paper plate Rudolph.
All in all, a pretty great day. Merry Christmas to everyone! See you back here January 21st for our Winter/Spring session of Burnham Bunch Storytime!
Here is what is happening this week:
Burnham Bunch Storytime : Storytime and craft for Preschoolers on Wednesday and Thursday from 10:30 – 11:00
Science & Stuff : Wednesday, Grades 2 – 5 from 3:15 – 4:15
Bagels and Books : THE REMAINDER OF THE SESSIONS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED.
If you would like to register for any of our programs, please email email@example.com
Thanks to all that came out and helped us ring in the Holiday Season!
Quiet week here at the library. Only two kiddos for storytime on Wednesday. And on Thursday, Region 12 was delayed so storytime was cancelled. But, we did have two cuties who ‘braved’ the snow! We read two books: Where, Oh Where, is Santa Claus? by Lisa Wheeler and Ten Little Christmas Presents by Jean Marzallo. For a craft … a new twist to the Christmas tree.
It’s that time of year again … SNOW! Last week was our first snowfall. And there is still remnants of the storm … although the rain is now washing it away. Today we read Snow Happy by Patricia Hubbell and There Was an Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow by Patricia Colandro. Our Old Lady is back and we used our flannel board to help with our story … boy that Old Lady likes to eat some crazy things! And of course, we crafted a snowman.
