Burnham Bunch: Rabbits
One week before Easter, so we read some books about rabbits. (Why is it I can’t type the word rabbit without saying “wabbit” in my head?!) On tap was a fun little book called The Bunny Rabbit Show by Sandra Boynton. I guarantee you will be singing this book like a Broadway star! I also shared 10 Hungry Rabbits by Anita Lobel. The kiddos had fun filling our basket with delicious vegetables. Our craft for this week, watercolor eggs — with a secret surprise.
Burnham Bunch Storytime: Spring??!!??
OK. Spring officially begins tomorrow. BUT, snow is on the way! I OFFICIALLY will not read another book about snow, winter or anything cold-related. I asked the kiddos and they agreed! So, we shared Mouse’s First Spring by Lauren Thompson and Wake Up, It’s Spring by Lisa Campbell Ernst. On the craft end … we made a flower. I instructed the children to place it front and center on the fridge; and hopefully, chase the winter weather away!
Science and Stuff: Just breath …
Miss Susan found a great idea to build a ‘lung’ from things we had around the library: a bottle, balloon, clay, straw and a bit of tape. Super-cool idea! We then ‘tested’ how many breaths we ‘normally’ breath in 1 minute (normal to the kiddos = hyperventilating! hahahah)
