Burnham Bunch: Rabbits, Eggs and Easter!

We will be on Spring Break next week! The library will be open, but programs will be on hold. So, we decided to celebrate Easter a bit early. I read 10 Hungry Rabbits by Anita Lobel and Little White Rabbit by Kevin Henkes. The kiddos had to fill our basket with LOTS of fruit and veg for our hungry bunnies.

After reading, we made some Easter eggs. Prior to storytime, we cut out some egg shapes. We equipped each craft seat with an egg, a straw and a painting tray. We then dropped dollops of various colored poster paint on each egg. We asked each kiddo to try to blow their paint around the egg … and if they wanted they could then use their straw to swirl the paint around — I folded my egg in half and smushed the paint around …. So many fantastic color combinations. Happy Easter!
